All Good SoCal Road Trip

I was getting a little stir crazy last week. So I logged into my Airbnb and set my sights for Joshua Tree. I came across a listing titled, "Jtree, Ca. Buzzards Roost-Rocket-". I thought to myself, "A rocket...in Joshua Tree? sign me up!"

The "Rocket", which is a 1958 35 ft trailer home, is fully decked out in vintage scifi themed decor from Buck Rodgers VHS's to space patterned bedding. It sits just 15 minutes from the park entrance and is moderately priced at $107 a night and well worth it.

First stop was to check out the Rip n Dip pop up store on Fair Fax. Then a quick hello to our friends at the Official La store and off the Joshua Tree. There was a mandatory stop at Cabazon to see the dinosaur park. If you're familiar with Pee Wee's Big Adventure then you know whats up. Finally made it to the "Rocket" in time for some stargazing and some cold beers.

Then next day we took a 2 hour drive to the Salton Sea and Salvation Mountain. I figure, we already drove this far, whats another 2 hour drive to see some more awesomeness!?! And finally, we spent our last day running around climbing rocks in Joshua Tree. I hope this inspires you to hit the road on your own adventure! Happy Road Tripping!!!
