Preparations for opening our first flagship store include building a 60-degree bouldering wall. To get a feel for what we wanted (as if we needed an excuse to go play around), we headed to Pipeworks, a local climbing gym. We might be far from pro-status, but the pain in our toes and the claw-like gesture our hands were stuck in made us feel like we'd been at it for years. And, like in all sports, the important thing is that we looked good doing it. Or at least we told each other that we did. We look forward to more climbs and graduating from kook climbers to the real deal.

Photos by Mark Dillon, except the last one. That is not a self portrait.
